PEEK is increasingly used in humanoid robot joint reducers thanks to its self-lubricating, oil-free operation, low noise, and ultra-lightweight properties—only one-sixth the weight of steel. By enabling a 30–50% reduction in mass and an additional 20% decrease in component size, PEEK gears significantly improve overall efficiency and extend robot battery life.
