This feature makes it an excellent replacement for other orthopedic implants, such as spinal interbody fusion devices & anterior cervical plates.
Radiolucency
PEEK can pass the X-rays, MRI, CT scans, that is Tinanium can not achieve. Due to PEEK does not interfere with medical imaging, therefore, it is important for postoperative monitoring as the created image is readable.
Thermal Resistance
PEEK material shows high-temperature stability compared to other metal implants which created a more comfortable situation for the patients. It is extensively reported by patients with titanium plates that they experience an intensive pain when their body’s temperatures fluctuate.
