To bridge the gap in R&D personnel’s capability to utilize patent information, implement the national standard of the Guidelines for Patent Navigation, and further standardize the entire workflow covering R&D project initiation, competitor analysis, risk screening, and patent layout, Jiangsu Junhua HPP Co., Ltd. (Junhua HPP) successfully conducted a special training session titled “IP Night School — Patent Navigation and Analysis” on July 2, 2026.

Supported by the Wujin District Market Supervision Administration and the Changzhou Intellectual Property Service Platform, this initiative aims to effectively mitigate the risks of redundant research and intellectual property (IP) infringement, while continuously enhancing the development and output of high-value patents for the company.

I. IP Empowers Innovation

The training session received strong support from competent authorities. Yang Jingwen, Head of the Development Service Center of the Changzhou Intellectual Property Public Service Platform, was invited to deliver the keynote lecture. Feng Xi, Vice General Manager of Junhua HPP, attended the event and delivered a welcoming speech. Expressing high expectations for the training, Feng encouraged all trainees to study diligently, apply the knowledge to practical operations, and effectively integrate patent navigation thinking into the entire R&D process.

The training program featured a comprehensive structure and strong practicality. The course systematically explained the implementation background, core definitions, standard specifications, analysis modules, and typical application scenarios of patent navigation. It also provided detailed instructions on patent retrieval techniques and data processing methods, with a focus on interpreting critical topics such as competitor patent analysis, infringement comparison, and risk forecasting. Furthermore, deep insights were shared regarding patent layout strategies and development paths for high-value patents.

Tailored precisely to the practical needs of the company’s innovative development, this special training has solidly strengthened the IP expertise of the R&D team and further standardized the company’s patent management system. This lays a robust foundation for deepening the practical application of patent navigation, optimizing patent layouts, and empowering high-quality corporate innovation through intellectual property.

II. Strategic Navigation Drives Corporate Growth

This IP Night School session on patent navigation is an innovative measure taken by the Wujin District Market Supervision Administration (Intellectual Property Office) and the Changzhou Intellectual Property Public Service Platform to provide precise services for key enterprises in the advanced materials sector.

Through systematic, scenario-based, and practical tiered training, this initiative will drive Junhua HPP to establish a routine mechanism for conducting simplified patent navigation prior to the initiation of new projects. It aims to build an interconnected IP support system spanning R&D, risk control, and patent layout. This will effectively avert patent legal disputes, conserve R&D resources, and empower technical innovation in advanced materials through IP capabilities, injecting strong intellectual property momentum into the high-quality development of the regional special polymer industry.
